the photo shows a matress sitting on the leather bed like a platform - in reality the matress sits inside the inner frame on wooden slats. Even more annoying is that the bottom of the headboard has a gap of about 8" above the bedframe. You can't see this in the picture because of the roll pillows, but the gap doesn't look great.

The bed is gorgeous and elegant![...] luckily my husband figured out the assembly easily! I definetely am recommending this bed to whom is interrested in practicality and style!

Redid my son's room while he was in college... in blacks and grey's. This bed was just perfect for the room. Had seen some others that were very pricey, and this looks even better than those in the showrooms. Easy to assemble, looks like a million dollars!! My son is happy, I'm happy.

I love the new bed! Its style and comfort surpasses everything that we shopped for locally! My teen son adores it and now loves showing off his newly designed bedroom to all of his friends. I would definitely make future purchases from [...] and from Hillsdale products!

Overall it is a great bed. The platform slats could be better.

We purchased this leather bed for our son's bedroom. With the combination of this bed and "MTV" bedding coordinates, his room looks so masculine and sophisticated that it will be enjoyed throughout his youth and into his adult years as well.
