The bed is even nicer than expected for the price. I like that there are no exposed screws on the outside of the frame and that I didn't need help from anyone to set it up.
Other people have complained that the bed slats are weak, but I didn't find them to be any weaker than other beds I've seen. The bed slats are stained dark like the rest of the frame. But you need to screw the end of each slat into the side rails, so it will be a pain to disassemble if we ever move. The instructions and all screws, bolts, washers, and allen wrenches are provided in the package with the side rails.
Someone else mentioned that you can cut your hand when changing the sheets, and I found that to be true. There is a sharp edge on the metal plates on the head/footboards that the side rails attach to. I'll probably put some duct tape of the metal plates to protect my hands next time.
My biggest complaint about this bed is the setup instructions. I am a very handy person. My friends always call me when they need help assembling furniture or doing remodelling projects. But this one was difficult even for me because the instructions are so insufficient. All of the instructions are on one side of one piece of paper in tiny print with small pictures. The hardest part is figuring out how to attach the feet to headboard and footboard. There are 4 feet and 4 metal plates included. You have to first attach each foot to a metal plate then attach the metal plate to the bottom of the headboard and footboard. There are no pre-drilled holes in the feet. The instructions have a tiny picture that shows which direction the beveled side of the feet should be in relation to the holes in the metal plates. I had to grab a square from my garage to make sure I was attaching the plates to the feet in the right direction. Then the pictures aren't very clear about which direction to attach the feet to the bottom of the headboard/footboard.
After that point, it is very easy to install without help. I think if my husband had been home to help me install it, it might have taken longer because he would gotten frustrated and we would have started to argue. But the bed is nice and sturdy for making up after an argument.

The only thing I would change or made better are the screw holes on each joint that fasten all four sides together. It is still very sturdy, however the metal threads on the female side started pulling out of the frame. Other than that, it is incredible! I absolutely love the look, feel, and sturdiness!

I haven't had a single complaint since I purchased the bed. Assembly was straightforward and relatively simple. It adds a whole new dimension to my bedroom. In fact, it has become as much a conversation piece as it is a bed. The color and stylishness of the bed will never go out of fashion.

Looks beautiful and is true to the picture. However, I'm worried about the quality of the bed roll slats and the rails that support them. Look real flimsy and I can picture my mattress breaking right through.

I researched leather beds extensively before I bought this one...at the best price on the net. The bed arrived and I had to put it together....A tad cumbersome, for someone with no skills like me, but I did it. It is beautiful and comfortable and I love it!

overall the bed is nice. But the middle support leg for the slats arrived broken. Also one of the corner metal supports is bent, so you have to be careful not to slice your hand when making the bed (already happend to me).
