My son outgrew his single bed. We wanted something simple to put together and solid. It went together easily and my husband and son stained it to match his other furniture. We bought an air mattress to put on top of it and it works just as well as some more expensive air mattress/frame sets. His feet no longer hang over the edge and even if he continues to grow there is no footboard to prevent him from stretching out.

So far, so GREAT!!! I love my new platform bed. I bought a king size mattress for it and it didn't quite fit(bed is bigger than mattress fits) But other than that, it is awesome.

Bed and night stand were exactly as described, my son picked out the style, then he assembled it too in no time flat. Smooth finish took stain really well. He got a simple yet stylish new bedroom without breaking my wallet.

I was trying to streamline my spare bedroom. I was going with a more simple look and all I could find were big bulky beds. This bed is perfect! It's simple, streamline and even comfortable. I love it, it finished off the room perfectly!

I am completely happy with this bed. My son had a loft bed that he fell out of so I got rid of it and he slept on his mattress on the floor. He insisted he liked it down there. The bed came and him and I (with my handy, dandy electric screwdriver), put the bed together, needless to say he was hooked. As a single parent, I was thrilled to find a quality, wood bed I could afford. Its solid, doesnt shift or creak. And its perfect for a boys room. We love this bed! Thank you [...]! The bed reminds me of Amish styling with the simple lines in design. Very easy to assemble. My teen put the bed together all by himself. It doesn't require a boxspring and it doesn't need one with all the supports that are supplied. Very sturdy! It's perfect, just what we were looking for!

Overall, I'm *fairly* happy with my king size Plateau Platform bed - but only after some initial and ongoing adjustments. To begin, I understand that yellow pine is a "soft" wood, so my first issue is probably more related to the natural material then workmanship, but I do have to tighten all of the screws each month or so. Otherwise, the bed loosens up a bit and sways when in use. The second issue was a little more of a hassle. At initial set up, I noticed the king size bed's "middle" support rails didn't have any floor based support. Without something underneath the middle support rails holding them up, my wife and I felt as though we would fall through the platform bed. Even king size metal frames have an adjustable support between the support rails and floor. [...] I ended up creating extra support by placing four 2x4 blocks strategically placed between the floor and rails (see attached photo). [...] Otherwise, the bed was quite affordable and looks great.

This is a very sturdy versatile bed. WE Have moved it all around my daughters room. ( It is not as bulky as other beds.) We have added a canopy. Now we're thinking about painting it. It looks great natural or you can change it to a different color.
My daughter absolutely loves this bed! I would suggest this kind of bed to any one. my husband and I are actually thinking about getting one.

easy to assemble - the connections and parts were well made. once together it is very sturdy and stable. i like the fact that i was able to stain the wood (and this is REAL wood) to match my other bedroom furniture. im using one of those sleep number air matresses and the bed and matress fit together like a set. no creaks or groans when i lie down, and im a fairly big guy. its just what i was looking for.

[...]I was able to assemble it myself and sleep in it that night. It was a very affordable (yet comfortable) solution for us as we had a king size mattress that we loved. The space under the bed is great for storage - I put decorative cloth lined baskets on the side people see entering the room and plastic totes on the other side for versatile storing. I was so happy with it my neighbor ordered one as well. And not a night goes by that we dont have one ,or more, of the kids sneeking in to snuggle with us. Thank you.

The assembly instructions were complete and easy to follow. This bed is sturdier than any found on the market. A box spring may be used but is not necessary because of the superior slat system. The solid wood construction far surpasses the other platform beds on the market which are generally particle board. Total Bedroom offers quality at a price that BEATS competitors nationwide.

The platform bed is a quality solid wood bed with no frills. It gets the job done and can be stained or painted to match your room's decor. Assembly is easy and the bed is lightweight so it's a snap to move it into place once it's ready. I'd love to see a finished/stained version available at minimal additional cost, other than that I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

I keep it partially unassembled under another bed. When I need more sleeping space other than our guest bedroom, I set it up in our den and put on the air mattress. My guests are off the floor and comfortable.

This is a great bed for a teenage boy who doesn't like the frills of the furniture you normally see in a furniture store and it was easy to decorate his room around the bed. It is an excellent choice, especially for a boy and will last for years to come, all the way through college.
