Comments about Powell Monster Bedroom Loft Bed:

I purchased this bed three years ago at specialty childrens furniture store and it was a great price for the bed. It's now three years later this bed is still like brand new,my son was 9 when it was purchased and now he is twelve,he has started sleep walking so it saddens us to have to part with his bed and buy a regular bed but it was the best bed we have ever owned for our children,it is practical with the full desk at the bottom and the pockets and hooks. Most bunkbeds start to weaken or the screws get loose after awhile,we have had no trouble like this whatsoever,it's just as it was when it was set-up for my son on the first day and he hangs from the bars and jumps up and down on the ladder with his cousins and this bed is the best.

Comments about Powell Monster Bedroom Loft Bed:

We purchased this loft bed for my 8yo sons small bedroom, 9x10, to work as both a bed and desk. It was easy to assembly with the help of my 17yo son who had to hold pieces up as i tightened screws and bolts. Once it was up, I was impressed with it's sturdiness. The quailty is good for the money, it did have a few scratches, but not a big deal. My son loves it and he uses the desk area as a hold all for his projects, school work and collections of stuff. The only thing that I should have considered was that my bedroom ceilings are only 8 ft high, as most people, so there is just about 25 inches between the top of the mattress and the ceiling. My son has gotten up quickly a few times and banged his head. Good thing kids have hard heads. He is 10 now and I suspect when he starts growing I might have to take the bed part down. The other thing about it is that the bed over head does create a cave effect. Over all, it works very well for the space and lets us have a large dresser, nightstand and long storage ottoman in an otherwise very small room.

My son loves his monster bed! It was pretty easy to put up with the mostly picture directions. He's been using it for about 4 months now and it still seems very sturdy. It's a little difficult to change the sheets though!
